Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Farmyard Friends by Thomas Smythe was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,553.50 (€ 1,395.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Smythe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The dining chair sledge in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 10,994.00 (€ 16,362.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Farmyard Friends von Thomas Smythe kam im April 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.553,50 (€ 1.395,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Smythe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The dining chair sledge im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.994,00 (€ 16.362,37).
