The work A Spanish Beauty (1883-84) by Thomas (Tom) William Roberts was sold in the Australian Art auction at Christies in London in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,247.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Thomas (Tom) William Roberts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Louis Abrahams in September 2015 with an auction result of GBP 314,500.00 (€ 425,907.72).
