Auction result misses estimated price range

In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life in Huluping (double gourd base), 2019 by Timothy Hon Hung Lee for GBP 378.00 (€ 430.20). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's London Staff Auction at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Timothy Hon Hung Lee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Messiah, 2018 in September last year with an auction result of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,868.00).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life in Huluping (double gourd base), 2019 von Timothy Hon Hung Lee für GBP 378,00 (€ 430,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's London Staff Auction bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Timothy Hon Hung Lee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Messiah, 2018 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.868,00).
