The work The Journey by Toby Basco was sold in the Insider Art: Christie’s New York Staff Show auction at Christies in New York in August last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 378.00 (€ 375.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300.00 – 400.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Journey is the most expensive artwork by Toby Basco that we have observed at auctions so far.
