Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work View of Philiphaugh Farm, Selkirk at dawn by Tom Scott for GBP 750.00 (€ 841.71). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Tom Scott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sir Walter Scott's grave, Dryburgh Abbey in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,744.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View of Philiphaugh Farm, Selkirk at dawn von Tom Scott für GBP 750,00 (€ 841,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Scott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sir Walter Scott's grave, Dryburgh Abbey im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.744,69).
