Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary, which included the work Pintor De Paisajes by Tomás Sánchez. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,746.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomás Sánchez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Llegada del caminante a la laguna in March last year with an auction result of USD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,622,644.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pintor De Paisajes von Tomás Sánchez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.746,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomás Sánchez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Llegada del caminante a la laguna im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.800.000,00 (€ 1.622.644,91).
