The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,916.44), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomio Miki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ear No. 113, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 134,581.44).

Die Arbeit Ear Unit 106 von Tomio Miki wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Asobi: Japanese & Korean Postwar Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.916,44) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomio Miki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ear No. 113 beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 134.581,44) versteigert wurde.
