Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kamisuki (Combing hair) by Torii Kotondo was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,123.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kotondo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kamisuki (Combing the hair) in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,570.72).

Die Arbeit Kamisuki (Combing hair) von Torii Kotondo wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert.
