This artwork by Tran Luu Hau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October this year. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Hanoi Trees sold for HKD 702,500.00 (€ 84,954.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 270,000.00. This high result makes Hanoi Trees the most expensive artwork by Tran Luu Hau that we have observed at auctions so far.
