A top price for Uragami Gyokudo
The work Hanku en'u (Half the sky is misty rain) by Uragami Gyokudo was sold in the JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART auction at Christies in New York in March 2003. It achieved a price of USD 95,600.00 (€ 87,706.42), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. With this result, Hanku en'u (Half the sky is misty rain) is even the most expensive work of art by Uragami Gyokudo that we have observed at auctions so far.
