In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online, which included the work The Ghost of Asakura Togo by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,484.88), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Kuniyoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mitsukuni Defying The Skeleton Spectre Conjured Up By Princess Takiyasha (Souma No Furudairi Yokai Ga Shadokuro To Tatakau Oya Notarou Mitsukuni) in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 234,848.90).

Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ghost of Asakura Togo von Utagawa Kuniyoshi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.484,88) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Kuniyoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mitsukuni Defying The Skeleton Spectre Conjured Up By Princess Takiyasha (Souma No Furudairi Yokai Ga Shadokuro To Tatakau Oya Notarou Mitsukuni) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 234.848,90).
