The work Zhu Gui, the Dry-land Crocodile (Kanchi Kotsuritsu Shuki) by Utagawa Kuniyoshi was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,363.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Kuniyoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mitsukuni Defying The Skeleton Spectre Conjured Up By Princess Takiyasha (Souma No Furudairi Yokai Ga Shadokuro To Tatakau Oya Notarou Mitsukuni) in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 234,848.90).
