It achieved a price of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 37,572.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Admittedly, works by Vasily Sitnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self-Portrait With Crows By The Kremlin in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 157,390.84).

Die Arbeit Heavenly Clouds von Vasily Sitnikov kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 37.572,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasily Sitnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self-Portrait With Crows By The Kremlin im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 157.390,84).
