Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction TAKE IT TO THE STREETS: Auction to benefit HOCA Foundation, which included the work Rodeo Graffiti by Victor Ash. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,992.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Ash - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Astronaut Cosmonaut #19 - 2015, which sold at auction in February 2016 for EUR 8,320.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion TAKE IT TO THE STREETS: Auction to benefit HOCA Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rodeo Graffiti von Victor Ash zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.992,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Ash mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Astronaut Cosmonaut #19 - 2015 beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für EUR 8.320,00 versteigert wurde.
