Tezcatlipoca appears floating, dressed as a young man from a common neighborhood. His jaguars are guarding the threshold to the afterlife.

The work Tezcatlipoca´s nocturnal sun by Victor López was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,908.24). With this result, Tezcatlipoca´s nocturnal sun is even the most expensive work of art by Victor López that we have observed at auctions so far.
