In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work A Bedouin encampment by Victor Huguet. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,887.12), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Huguet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 159,156.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Bedouin encampment von Victor Huguet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.887,12) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Huguet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 159.156,00.
