Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chicken Farmers Zina And Tamara From The Tselinnyi Sovkhoz Izhevskiy Series by Viktor Popkov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,063.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor Popkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Family In July, 1969 in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 646,287.20).
