Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work A Terrier Smoking A Pipe; And Four Companion Paintings by Vincent de Vos for USD 687.50 (€ 518.44). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Vincent de Vos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Singerie Scene With A Simeon Alchemist in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,900.91).
