Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Plate of Figs With Apples, Cherries And A Pomegranate by Vincenzo Campi for USD 96,000.00 (€ 76,045.63). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Part I at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Vincenzo Campi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Fruit And Vegetable Seller, Surrounded By Her Wares in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 399,000.00 (€ 326,754.57).
