In November 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Napoli, al mercato by Vincenzo Canino. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,224.00 15% above the upper estimate. With this result, Napoli, al mercato is even the most expensive work of art by Vincenzo Canino that we have observed at auctions so far.
