In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction The Hoarder: Part III, which included the work Name Calling Chair by Vito Acconci. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,214.00), 73% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vito Acconci have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thirty-Five Approaches in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 78,125.00 (€ 62,811.55).

Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Hoarder: Part III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Name Calling Chair von Vito Acconci zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 7.214,00) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vito Acconci auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Thirty-Five Approaches im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 78.125,00 (€ 62.811,55).
