Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Italian un Secret Partagé by Vittorio Matteo Corcos for USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,487.32). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Vittorio Matteo Corcos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alla fontana (Le due colombe) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 590,280.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Italian un Secret Partagé von Vittorio Matteo Corcos für USD 86.500,00 (€ 66.487,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vittorio Matteo Corcos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alla fontana (Le due colombe) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 590.280,76).
