Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape with Leda and the swan by Vladimir Ovchinnikov was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,558.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Vladimir Ovchinnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Celebration, After The Celebration in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 43,200.00 (€ 64,042.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape with Leda and the swan von Vladimir Ovchinnikov wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.558,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vladimir Ovchinnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Celebration, After The Celebration im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.200,00 (€ 64.042,45).
