Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Harlequin and Columbine by Walter Ernest Webster was sold in the THE SIR RALPH AND LADY HALPERN COLLECTION auction at Christies in London in February 2005. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 870.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Ernest Webster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Japanese Fan in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 48,132.03).
