Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,218.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Walter Moras have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sleigh ride on a sunny winters day in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 7,500.00.

Die Arbeit A figure crossing a bridge over a Dutch waterway by moonlight von Walter Moras kam im Juli 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.218,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Moras auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sleigh ride on a sunny winters day im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.500,00.
