Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Seated Man by Walter Spies was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 203,150.00 (€ 13,186.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Spies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blick Von Der Höhe (A View From The Heights) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 31,480,000.00 (€ 2,987,288.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seated Man von Walter Spies kam im April 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 203.150,00 (€ 13.186,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Spies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blick Von Der Höhe (A View From The Heights) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 31.480.000,00 (€ 2.987.288,51).
