Upper estimate price exceeded by 91 %.
This artwork by Wang Jian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape After Dong Yuan sold for HKD 1,071,000.00 (€ 118,621.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 560,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Old Masters in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,349,967.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jian erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Yuan für HKD 1.071.000,00 (€ 118.621,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 560.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.349.967,41).
