Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eight Women'S Suicide In A River by Wang Xingwei was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Beijing in June 2015. The price achieved of CNY 3,068,000.00 (€ 443,669.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Xingwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blind, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Eight Women'S Suicide In A River von Wang Xingwei wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Beijing versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 3.068.000,00 (€ 443.669,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blind beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38) versteigert wurde.
