Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wen Qiqiu could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Asian Works of Art auction, the work Eagle and Pine, 1914 changed hands for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,126.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Qiqiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Flowers in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,234.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Qiqiu konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Asian Works of Art wechselte die Arbeit Eagle and Pine, 1914 für USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.126,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Qiqiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Flowers im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.234,22).
