Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Running Script Calligraphy by Wen Zhengming was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,600,000.00 (€ 184,930.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Zhengming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Large Running Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 83,227,500.00 (€ 9,525,364.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy von Wen Zhengming kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.600.000,00 (€ 184.930,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Zhengming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Large Running Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.227.500,00 (€ 9.525.364,61).
