Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Chinese Paintings, which included the work Goldfish and Silkworm by Weng Luo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 1,230.00 (€ 1,005.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Weng Luo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers and Birds in Four Seasons in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,225.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goldfish and Silkworm von Weng Luo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 1.230,00 (€ 1.005,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Weng Luo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers and Birds in Four Seasons im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 32.225,21).
