Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, Double-Sided Drawing by Wilfredo Lam for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,604.50). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfredo Lam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Omi Obini in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, Double-Sided Drawing von Wilfredo Lam für USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.604,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfredo Lam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Omi Obini im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.603.800,00 (€ 8.551.153,06).
