Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Kaffir buffalo in the Savannah by Wilhelm Kuhnert was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,536.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelm Kuhnert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German Grollende Löwen in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 645,000.00 (€ 566,833.64).
