Despite a disappointment, a good price for William Shackleton
When the work The Best of Friends by William Shackleton was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 534.61). Despite this disappointing result, The Best of Friends is the most expensive artwork by William Shackleton that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit The Best of Friends von William Shackleton im November 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
