The work An Angel, Arms Upraised, With Another Figure by William Blake was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2013. It achieved a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,563.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gambols Of Ghosts According With Their Affections Previous To The Final Judgement in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 531,875.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
