Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Dog Roses by William Boissevain. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 10,800.00 (€ 6,585.59), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by William Boissevain have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 13,145.00 (€ 8,010.67) in August 2005 for the work River Flats.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Dog Roses von William Boissevain zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 10.800,00 (€ 6.585,59) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von William Boissevain haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von AUD 13.145,00 (€ 8.010,67) im August 2005 für die Arbeit River Flats beobachtet.
