Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Sunset Glow On Sea And Land by William Bradford for USD 150,000.00 (€ 142,018.56). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by William Bradford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Midnight Sun, The Arctic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,314,353.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sunset Glow On Sea And Land von William Bradford für USD 150.000,00 (€ 142.018,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Bradford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Midnight Sun, The Arctic im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.314.353,28).
