In April last year Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A pointer in a landscape by William Garland. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,207.02), 18% above the upper estimate. With this result, A pointer in a landscape is even the most expensive work of art by William Garland that we have observed at auctions so far.
