Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work An Irish mansion, boats in a river in the foreground by William Glover for GBP 625.00 (€ 766.55). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors Featuring Islamic & Indian Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by William Glover have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle in a Highland landscape in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,748.50 (€ 3,955.85).
