Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Study of A Boy With A Dog by William Henry Hunt was sold in the British Art on Paper Including 'The Blue Rigi' by J.M.W. Turner, R.A. auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,951.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Eavesdropper in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 37,739.68).

Turner, R.A. bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.951,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
