Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work A montage of African birds and animals; and another of African birds by William Neave Parker for GBP 937.50 (€ 1,055.02). This price was achieved in the auction The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by William Neave Parker have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2005 by the work View of the gateway to the caravanserai at Rajmahal, Bengal; View of the ghats at Murshidabad, Bengal; View of the minar at Gour, Bengal at GBP 840.00 (€ 1,232.76).
