It achieved a price of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,451.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Thomas Wood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British Snow Shadows, which sold at auction in March 2009 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,761.59).
