Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Figures in the Shade of a Tree by William Wendt was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,875.00 (€ 28,872.28). Admittedly, works by William Wendt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Silence Of Night in June 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 259,245.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figures in the Shade of a Tree von William Wendt kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 31.875,00 (€ 28.872,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Wendt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Silence Of Night im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 259.245,83).
