Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Hare and a Setter in a landscape by William Woodhouse. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,388.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Woodhouse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A gundog with a pheasant, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 4,465.00 (€ 6,906.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hare and a Setter in a landscape von William Woodhouse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.388,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Woodhouse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A gundog with a pheasant beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 4.465,00 (€ 6.906,34) versteigert wurde.
