Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch Volendam, Kermisgangers (At The Fair Of Volendam) by Willy Sluiter was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2008. The price achieved of EUR 27,150.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy Sluiter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard, which sold at auction in April 2003 for EUR 89,625.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch Volendam, Kermisgangers (At The Fair Of Volendam) von Willy Sluiter wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 27.150,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
