Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Changshuo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Stone Drum Script Calligraphy and Plum Blossoms sold for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 45,441.54) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Changshuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 28,750,000.00 (€ 3,322,968.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Changshuo erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Stone Drum Script Calligraphy and Plum Blossoms für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 45.441,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Changshuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 28.750.000,00 (€ 3.322.968,12).
