Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures by Wu Wei for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,754.65). This price was achieved in the auction Important Chinese Classical Paintings: Property of the Ping Y Tai Foundation at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Sceneries by a Lake in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,607,500.00 (€ 626,298.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures von Wu Wei für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.754,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Chinese Classical Paintings: Property of the Ping Y Tai Foundation bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Sceneries by a Lake im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.607.500,00 (€ 626.298,68).
