This artwork by Xie Nanxing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. In the The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution auction, the work Family Theme: Quartet No. 4 (Interior Kitchen) sold for HKD 1,160,000.00 (€ 107,125.55) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xie Nanxing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 93 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Nanxing erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution wurde die Arbeit Family Theme: Quartet No. 4 (Interior Kitchen) für HKD 1.160.000,00 (€ 107.125,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xie Nanxing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Ambiguous Flower No. 3) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
