Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscapes of Four Seasons by Xie Shichen for HKD 980,000.00 (€ 90,825.49). This price was achieved in the auction Important Chinese Classical Paintings: Property of the Ping Y Tai Foundation at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Shichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scholarly Gathering till Twilight in May last year with an auction result of HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscapes of Four Seasons von Xie Shichen für HKD 980.000,00 (€ 90.825,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Chinese Classical Paintings: Property of the Ping Y Tai Foundation bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Shichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scholarly Gathering till Twilight im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68).
