In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Musicians on a Boat by Xu Lele. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,746.53), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Xu Lele have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,600,000.00 (€ 148,810.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Musicians on a Boat von Xu Lele zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.746,53) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Lele auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.600.000,00 (€ 148.810,38).
